We all have weird interest, it's the long tail.
Magic happens when you find someone with the same weird interest: emulation brings innovation through iterations!
Maybe someday I'll find someone interested in running Excel through wine rendering in Sixels within a terminal :)

WordPerfect for Unix Character Terminals
123 was indeed ported to UNIX, I have that working as well! https://github.com/taviso/123elf
(Although it was more likely procalc - a popular low-end lotus clone)
I'm also working on porting dBase IV, another popular package from the era :)

As someone who writes software for moderately boring business operations, I've been wondering making terminal-based apps with lots of keyboard shortcuts would lead to a more productive end user than writing a web app.
I've been looking at https://github.com/gui-cs/Terminal.Gui but haven't tried it yet.

Since you mentioned minimal GUI, have you thought of a TUI? I haven't spiked it out but I would guess Terminal.Gui would work with Native AOT
