Simultaneous cat and external keyboard input causing kernel panic (2011)
I misremembered, it was this one, about Linux mint and cinnamon screensaver (used as "lock screen" I guess):
https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon-screensaver/issues/354
While searching I also found some issues with cat in the Ubuntu bug tracker:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity-greeter/+bug...
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/1463112
- Linux Users need to be locked up and tortured for being annoying
- Screensaver lock by-pass via the virtual keyboard (2020)

Green Screen of Death
I'm not sure what you mean by "green screen of death", that isn't a common complaint. It could be a cinnamon-screensaver bug. An issue there would probably show up in the file ~/.xsession-errors and could be posted to the bug tracker https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon-screensaver/issues
- Trying to make a suspend script but have a catch 22
- Lock Screen saver resets display config
-
Linux Mint Debian Edition 5 is here
What bug are you referring to? After searching I can only find references to bugs in cinnamon-screensaver and xorg-x11-server that have all been fixed.
- https://github.com/linuxmint/cinnamon-screensaver/issues/354
Is there another bug that is long-standing and have not yet been fixed?

One of the greatest mysteries of decision-making in Dev ...
There’s also children hacking through the cinnamon screensaver

How can I uninstall Cinnamon Scripts + Workspace Background Switcher?
Looking at the workspace_background_switcher.sh, you can add and remove wallpapers editing this file, at this part exactly:
-
Emulating opening Windows .exe files
I know I can make custom actions for Nemo., but I am not sure if that is the approach I need to take.
-
Cinnamon
From this github repo I used the opacify windows script. It's pretty simple and the documentation is pretty good.
-
Chang the Lock Screen Background (not the Login screen)
You can take a look at this script from the second issue there README: script
- How do I exclude specific applications and games from running in the Opacify Windows script
