The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

3D reconstruction models for human body
The other reply has listed some good references if related work sections are TL;DR, however I would add: SMPLify - https://files.is.tue.mpg.de/black/papers/BogoECCV2016.pdf HMR - https://github.com/akanazawa/hmr SPIN - https://github.com/nkolot/SPIN as very important works (albeit outdated).

I'm very interested in converting images to 3d models. Really cool tech that feels like it's nearly there.
Have you by chance seen any of the work Facebook has been doing related to the 2d to 3d conversions?

Where To Start With The Software Side Of Disneys
Yes you're correct. That's why I thought having a dome of raspberry pis around a turntable, getting multiple angles at once, but also the movement would provide a solid dataset to be able to train a neural network to generate a 3D model of a person, or an object or possibly even an animal from a single photo, sort of like PifuHD.
