The number of mentions indicates the total number of mentions that we've tracked plus the number of user suggested alternatives.
Stars - the number of stars that a project has on GitHub. Growth - month over month growth in stars.
Activity is a relative number indicating how actively a project is being developed. Recent commits have higher weight than older ones.
For example, an activity of 9.0 indicates that a project is amongst the top 10% of the most actively developed projects that we are tracking.

Fast, simple, hard real time allocator for Rust
OTOH, I think this would be a good fit for the "Store" proposal [1] which uses handles rather than addresses.

What’s the status of the Storage proposal?
I think here you can find the new repository as there are commits from yesterday. Also this is probably the most recent discussion about the proposal.
What are some alternatives?
When comparing offset-allocator and storage you can also consider the following projects:
zenoh - zenoh unifies data in motion, data in-use, data at rest and computations. It carefully blends traditional pub/sub with geo-distributed storages, queries and computations, while retaining a level of time and space efficiency that is well beyond any of the mainstream stacks.
storages-api
storage-poc - Exploration of using Storage instead of Allocator to parameterize collections in Rust
stabby - A Stable ABI for Rust with compact sum-types
