On desktop, you have invidious instances and piped instances which also allow to disable comments and recommendations. They also allow to watch youtube ad-free and no sign-in is required for age restricted videos ;) .
You can find alternative apps for things here. Any social platform will not provide you with a feature that will kill its userbase.
