  • main

OCI base images of Fedora with batteries included (by ublue-os)

  • If you're using Nvidia, then install using the ublue Nvidia image which has the drivers built in, cause they can be a prick to manage otherwise.

  • lutris

    Lutris desktop client

  • ProtonDB is a community list of Steam games rating their playability. Heroic launcher runs GOG and Epic games. Lutris and Bottles can be used to run everything else.

  • website

Monorepo with website and API (by flathub-infra)

  • If you're worried about the potential of breaking things, I'd pick the Fedora Kinoite distro. Up to date gaming support, stable and extremely difficult to break. Install apps from Flathub using the built-in Discover software store and go nuts.

  • AreWeAntiCheatYet

A comprehensive and crowd-sourced list of games using anti-cheats and their compatibility with GNU/Linux or Wine.

  • Nope, just works. There are some games that use invasive kernel-level anticheat that wont work as Linux sensibly blocks anything that shouldn't be messing with the kernel, but I'm not personally interested in those games anyway. EAC and Battleye both support Linux, but requires devs to tick a box, which there's several that can't be bothered.
