Hi HN, This is harshith from Tegon (https://github.com/tegonhq/tegon) an AI-first, open-source issue-tracking software that uses AI to smartly automate manual tasks, and workflows or provide more context to engineers for a given task.
Here is our demo video: (https://www.loom.com/share/1a4ba45cb1254fdba3ea98af23a1e6f1?...)
Why are we building this: As engineers we hated Jira, it is slow and too complicated and enables a lot of processes and micro-management which used to kill our productivity.
Sneak Peak into Tegon:
I've built a PoC for semantic search and chat for Jira. Just a CLI that uses the Jira API to iterate through all tickets and uses https://github.com/philippgille/chromem-go for creating, storing and querying the embeddings. The chat doesn't work very well, but the semantic search is very useful.
I think git-bug[1] is the most popular project of that sort.
