  • ublacklist

Blocks specific sites from appearing in Google search results

  • Not to discourage you from paying for Kagi (and without knowing what platform you use) but I use https://github.com/iorate/ublacklist to remove Pintrest from my search results and it works perfectly.

  • MarginaliaSearch

Internet search engine for text-oriented websites. Indexing the small, old and weird web.

  • > Then maybe you might be interested in Marginalia Search https://search.marginalia.nu/

I have tried it before, but it appears to me that it dismisses all commercial content altogether, which is not what I want. That is throwing out the baby with the bathwater.

For example, I searched for "The Vietnam of computer science" (Without the quotes) and it returned zero results.

  • bangs

Repository of bangs used by Kagi Search

  • Kagi allows you to define custom bangs: https://help.kagi.com/kagi/features/bangs.html#custom-bangs

And you can open an issue/pull request here: https://github.com/kagisearch/bangs

(Kagi's search bang redirects work even if you don't have a Kagi account.)

Kagi probably has the most updated search bangs, even though DuckDuckGo created them.

NOTE: The number of mentions on this list indicates mentions on common posts plus user suggested alternatives. Hence, a higher number means a more popular project.
