Since you're specifically looking for a replacement for a desktop UI framework, I would look into QML.Net. It works across Windows and Linux (and even MacOS X) by using the Qt framework under the hood.
If you're working on a game (which your post seems to suggest), you might try Silk.NET. It supports all of the common accelerated game frameworks. It's more of an OpenGL/DirectX-style replacement, rather than a desktop UI replacement, though.
