TLS 1.2 in Outlook 2003 (yes, I know)
For legacy Windows systems we tend to employ a proxy, often deployed as a sidecar on the host itself. Stunnel for general TLS proxying on Win32. 32-bit binaries are no longer officially supplied but can be obtained from a third party here.

Very legacy ssl problem on server 2003...yep, it sucks to be me
Be aware that there's unfortunately no official 32-bit Win32 compiled version any longer, only a 64-bit Win32 version. Server 2003 came in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions, but a legacy server is probably most likely to be 32-bit. This unofficial build seems reasonable. Stunnel does inherently support 32-bit cross-builds with Mingw, so we should probably get that in our CI before we need it.
