  • vis

Extended Visual Mode Commands, Substitutes, and Searches (by vim-scripts)

  • I know Dr. Chip has a plugin for blockwise visual mode that seems to be based on a more generic visual-mode plugin while adding some additional features. There are enough odd edge-cases (what happens if the pattern matches inside the visual range at the start, but the end hangs out of the visual range? what happens if the pattern starts before the visual range, but ends inside it? how about both starting before the visual selection, ending after it, but containing the visually selected text) that I usually just slap \%V in where it makes sense to me to ensure it gives me the results I need.
