After committing the change, they usually push their data to a specific hosted version control system (HVCS) that stores the code for team contribution/sharing. We can name a few: GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket.
That is what the YAML is for. Securely send data to a specific cloud service ( AWS, Google Cloud, Azure ). They call the whole process, CI/CD, deployment, etc etc etc. (Hey picky, I know they are not the same, but they kind of are.)
3 — This .env file will be sent with other files to the selected destination (in that case they will send environment variables to AWS lambda)
